Making Funeral Arrangements

Killyleagh Parish Church will always be here for its parishioners and family at a sad time of loss. We want to reflect the grace of Jesus Christ by supporting the bereaved, no matter how regularly the deceased worshipped in church and no matter how close to, or how far away a loved one was from Jesus. Normally funeral services will be for deceased parishioners, accustomed members and their families, but they may also be possible for others after consultation with the Rector.

The Funeral Service

The funeral service may take place in the parish church, at the home of the deceased, at the premises of the Funeral Director, or at Roselawn if cremation is preferred.

Families of the deceased will have an opportunity to shape the funeral service and also participate in it if they wish. The service needs to be consistent with the Christian and Biblical values of our parish.
